From the mill to your warehouse
Four stages, and a document at the end of each one. Nothing here is a formality: each stage exists because it is where a shipment can go wrong.
Contracting at origin
We agree the specification before we agree the price. For flour that means the protein band; for rice the broken percentage and crop year; for oil the iodine value and free fatty acid. We contract with refineries and mills directly rather than through traders, which is what makes a specification something we can enforce rather than something we hope for.

Inspection before shipment
Every lot carries the producer certificate of analysis, and we confirm it independently before the container is sealed. Pre-shipment inspection covers the declared figures, the pack and carton specification, and the quantity loaded. If a lot does not match, it does not ship.

Freight and discharge
We ship CFR to Mogadishu, Bosaso, Berbera or Kismayo. On discharge we inspect what the voyage did to the goods rather than only what left the origin: seal integrity on jerrycans, breakage on pasta cartons, moisture and bag condition on grain and sugar.

Warehousing and delivery
Goods move into raised, sealed bays and are picked first in, first out. Remaining shelf life is stated on the delivery note, not left for the buyer to work out from a production code. We deliver ex-warehouse, into the city, or onward to the regional markets by pallet or full truck.

Port
Where we discharge
We ship CFR to all four. Mogadishu is where we hold stock.

- Southern discharge for Jubaland.
